Keith’s professional journey as a teacher began in The Gambia, a small country in Western Africa. In 1993, Keith had the privilege of working with other Canadian and Gambian teachers to run a summer school for Gambian students to develop math and language skills. This was a pivotal experience that solidified Keith’s belief in the power of education and his choice to be an educator.
Between 1993 and 2006, Keith taught junior high science and math and senior high chemistry in both public and independent schools in British Columbia and Alberta. In 2006, Keith moved to Edge School when it had 250 students within the CFIS campus. During his time at Edge, Keith has taken on various roles including Teacher, Assistant Principal and Principal. Keith is currently the CEO and Head of School. He has witnessed the growth of the school and he feels incredibly fortunate to be part of a dedicated staff who are passionate about helping students become the best possible version of themselves.
Keith’s most proud accomplishments professionally are being recognized in the Alberta Excellence in Teaching Awards Program in 2010 and being named one of Canada’s Outstanding Principals in 2019.
